GEICO recently began airing two new television commercials featuring the GEICO Gecko and characters from the new animated musical from Disney, "The Princess and the Frog."
"We saw an opportunity for two great companies using well-known animated characters to collaborate in support of a new theatrical release -- the GEICO Gecko meets the storied Frog Prince," said Ted Ward, GEICO's vice president of advertising. "We think it's a great fit at the start of the holiday season with Disney looking to entertain families and GEICO trying to save them money.
In "The Princess and the Frog," Disney presents a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana and a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again. A fateful kiss leads them both on an adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

"Together, we have developed a truly collaborative and tremendous business relationship. Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" marks the return to hand-drawn animated musicals and features the voices of Anika Noni Rose, Terrence Howard, John Goodman, Keith David, Jim Cummings, Jenifer Lewis and Oprah Winfrey with music by Academy Award- and Grammy Award-winner Randy Newman.
